Two people were killed and five others injured when a Nasimon (locally assembled tempo) collided head-on with a CNG run auto rickshaw at Amtola at Kamarkhand upazila in Sirajganj on Sunday night.
The deceased were identified as Sagar, 24, a student of Sirajganj Government Collage, resident of Alokdia village under Kamarkhand upazila and Azizul Haque, 28, son of Sohrab Hossain of Sheikhpara village under the same upazila.
Police said the accident occurred when the Kamarkhand-bound CNG run auto rickshaw collided head-on with a Nasimon coming from the opposite direction.
Of the deceased, Azizul died on the spot while Sagar succumbed to his injuries on way to hospital.
The injured were admitted to Kamarkhand Upazila Health Complex.
