Drama for children by children
A seven-day programme was held at the Asaduzzaman auditorium in Magura town to mark World Children's Day and Children's Rights Week, which ended on Sunday.
Organised by the Bangladesh Shishu Academy in Magura, the programme featured a children's rally, sports, discussion, workshop and painting, patriotic songs and recitation competition.
On the last day of the programme a captivating cultural programme was held at the venue where children of different schools and institutions performed. The cultural programme featured songs, dance and a play titled “Protijogita”. The play on the theme of children's rights was written and directed by Biswajit Chakrabarti. The cast included Disha, Ibrahim Khalil, Brinto and Masum.
Later, a discussion on children's rights was held with Children's Affairs Officer Ahmed-Al-Hossain in the chair. Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) of Magura, Rezaul Karim, and Magura Sadar Upazila Parishad Chairman, Abu Nasir Bablu, were present as chief and special guests and distributed prizes among the winning children.
