Fire Service and Civil Defence yesterday launched a special training for its instructors as part of a preparation for emergency earthquake response.
Speaking at the inaugural ceremony MM Motiur Rahman, training director of Fire Service and Civil Defence said, the instructors of fire service and civil defence are receiving training on "Collapsed Structure Search and Rescue" and "Medical First Response".
The 14-day training was inaugurated at Fire Service and Civil Defence training complex in Mirpur.
Fire Service and Civil Defence organised the training with National Society for Earthquake Technology (NSET), Nepal, under a project titled "Program for enhancement of emergency responses (PEER)".
