Sheikh Jamal gets Serbian duo
Serbian coaches Zoran Kraljedic and Berber Dabor are all set to join newcomers Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club for the upcoming football season, revealed a club official yesterday.
Manzur Kader, president of Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club, said they have confirmed the services of Kraljedic and Dabor, the duo who had worked as assistants of Bangladesh's former Serbian coach Zoran Djordjevic.
The surprise-package of the season had earlier tried to rope in local coach Saiful Bari Titu, who had refused to take charge due to his involvement with the Bangladesh Football Federation.
Sheikh Jamal were then forced to change their decision and rope in foreign coaches.
Of two Serbian coaches, the senior one will act as coach while the other will be appointed trainer, said Kader adding that they would sign up foreign players if needed in line with the recommendations of the coaches.
The season's curtain-raising tournament, Federation Cup, will be held in between October 7 to 31 before the second tournament of the Super Cup which will take place in December.
