BGIC declares 10pc stock dividend

Bangladesh General Insurance Company Ltd (BGIC) has declared 10 percent stock dividend for 2009 on an enhanced capital of Tk 41.76 crore, the company said in a statement.
The declaration was made at the company's 25th annual general meeting at Eskaton Ladies Club in Dhaka.
Towhid Samad, chairman of the company, presided over the meeting.
At its fourth extraordinary general meeting, the insurer also approved an increase in authorised capital from Tk 50 crore to Tk 100 crore, share denomination from Tk 100 to Tk 10 and a change in the market lot of 10 to 100 shares.
