Tigers losing grip on Day 1
Early wickets were not enough for Bangladesh to gain full control of the first day of the second and final Test against England at Old Trafford in Manchester yesterday.
England were 275 for five at stumps.
The Tigers removed England's vaunted top-order in the first session before Kevin Pietersen's 64 and then recovery through Ian Bell (78*) and Matt Prior (18*) made sure the hosts wrested back control.
For the visitors, Shafiul Islam bowled impressively to take two wickets while Shakib Al Hasan, Abdur Razzak and Shahadat Hossain picked up one each.
