5,105 get govt job
The results of the 28th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examinations were published yesterday.
A total of 5,105 candidates came out successful after the written and oral tests, said a PSC press release.
Among the successful candidates, the commission provisionally recommended 2,190 candidates for various cadres including BCS (administration) and BCS (information) as the number of vacancies is lower than the number of successful candidates.
For those who have not been recommended for cadres because of limited vacancies, government will take step to accommodate them in the non-cadre posts.
The number of applicants for the 28th BCS exams was 120,946 while the commission interviewed 5,881 candidates who passed in the preliminary and written test.
