Oil jumps
Oil prices soared on Thursday after positive economic data in the United States sparked a rally in global stock markets, analysts said.
New York's main contract, light sweet crude for delivery in July, climbed 42 cents to 73.28 dollars a barrel.
London's Brent North Sea crude for July gained 43 cents to 74.18 dollars per barrel.
"It seems that the strong rally in the equity markets proved that risk appetite is back on the board and spread optimism in the energy market, helping crude oil prices to move higher," said Sucden analyst Myrto Sokou.
