39th death anniversary of 5 martyrs tomorrow

Tomorrow is the 39th martyrdom anniversary of Shaheed Engineer Fazlur Rahman, Shaheed Hosne Akhter, an NGO trainer, Shaheed Mostafizur Rahman Moznu, a college student, Shaheed Hasinur Rahman Hiron, a school student, and Shaheed Azizur Rahman Babu, also a school student, says a press release.
Engineer Fazlur Rahman, his wife Hosne Akhter and sons Moznu, Hiron and Babu were brutally killed at his Railway Government Residence in Saidpur under Nilphamari district by the Pakistani occupation army and their collaborator 'Biharis' on this day during the War of Liberation in 1971 as they (martyrs) were involvement in the liberation movement.
Hosne Akhter was buried alive after charging bayonet by the Pakistani occupation forces.
Her another son Saidur Rahman along with his two sisters Dilruba Khatun and Camellia Rahman, however, managed to save themselves miraculously. Many innocent Bangalees were also killed by the Pakistani occupation forces with the collaboration of Biharis in Saidpur the same day.
On the occasion, Qurankhwani will be held and foods will be distributed among the destitute. All have been requested to attend the programme and pray for salvation of the departed souls.
