A cadre of the outlawed Biplabi Communist Party (BCP) was killed in crossfire during a "shootout" between police and his cohorts at Kalabaria of Mirpur upazila in Kushtia early yesterday.

The outlaws fled the battle spot during the gunfight.
Police found Majid's body on the spot. Four bullets pierced his chest and head. Police also recovered a rifle and four bullets from the spot.
According to police, Majid was accused in six cases including three murder cases filed with Mirpur and Bheramara police stations.
