Nikita on fresh remand

A Dhaka court yesterday placed Nikita alias Zannatul Ferdousi on a two-day fresh remand in connection with a case filed for possessing 34 Yaba tablets.
Nikita was produced before the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate's Court with a prayer for a three-day remand. In his forwarding report, Sub-Inspector Selim Badsha of Rab also the investigation officer said Nikita needs to be quizzed further to find out the addresses of her accomplices and the persons involved with the business.
Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested Nikita on November 4 on the Dhaka court premises and her parents and brother from their Shantinagar apartment the following day after seizing 34 Yaba tablets there.
Earlier, Nikita, her parents Abdun Noor and Saleha Khatun and brother Moinuddin were sent to jail after interrogation by Ramna police taking on remand in this connection.
