Cattle trader shot dead

A cattle trader was shot dead by criminals at Hater Rasta at the heart of the town on Monday night. Police arrested one criminal with a revolver. The victim was Ripon, 30, son of late Abu Bakar of Chhoto Kamar Kundo under Sadar upazila. Police Superintendent Rezaul Karim said, on Monday night at around 8:30 pm Ripon was shot by criminal Motiar. Ripon died on the spot. However, traffic inspector Golam Azam caught the killer red-handed while fleeing the spot. Ripon has a cattle farm. The reason behind his killing could not be known immediately.
