Road crash kills one

A newly-wed woman was killed and 10 others of a bridal party were injured in a road accident on Dhaka-Barisal highway at Bakhrerkandi under Shibchar in Madaripur yesterday.
The dead was identified as Halima Khatun, 22, of Amtoli village under Barguna district. Her husband was also injured in the accident.
Police said the accident occurred when driver of the bus of the bridal party lost control over the bus and fell into a roadside ditch while trying to save a pedestrian.
The injured were admitted to Bhanga Hospital and Shibchar Hospital.
