Journalist Mozammel passes away
Mohammad Mozammel Huq, a senior journalist and former press secretary to former prime minister Khaleda Zia, passed away due to prolonged illness at his residence in the city last night at the age of 58.
Also former president and general secretary of Jatiya Press Club and president of Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ), Huq left behind his wife, two sons and a large number of colleagues and admirers to mourn his death.
BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia expressed her deep shock at the death of Mozammel Huq, saying his demise left a void in the vast arena of journalism in the country.
She also prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed her sympathy to members of the bereaved family.
In a message of condolence, Jatiya Press Club President Shawkat Mahmud and General Secretary Kamal Uddin Sabuj expressed their profound shock at the death of Mozammel Huq.

The body of Mozammel huq will be brought to the Jatiya Press Club at 10:00am for namaz-e-janaza, a JPC press release said last night.
