Prof Muzaffer re-elected Bapa president

Prof Muzaffer Ahmad and Dr Md Abdul Matin were re-elected president and general secretary of Bangladesh Paribesh Andolon (Bapa) in a meeting of its new executive committee on Wednesday.
The names of the 43 members of the committee were also announced, says a press release.
Prof Abdullah Abu Sayeed, ASM Shahjahan, former adviser to the caretaker government, Prof Nazrul Islam, chairman of University Grants Commission, Advocate Sultana Kamal, former advisor to the caretaker government, Prof Nazrul Islam, convener of Bangladesh Environment Network, economist Prof Wahiduddin Mahmud, Prof M Firoze Ahmed of Buet, Quazi Saleh Ahmed, former vice chancellor of Jahangirnagar University, and Khandaker Bazlul Haque, president of Dhaka University Teachers' Association, have been made vice presidents.
While Engineer Taksim A Khan, JK Boral, Architect Iqbal Habib, Zakir Hossain, Sharif Jamil, Mihir Bishwas, Md Shahjahan Mridha, Architect Salma A Shafi and Alamgir Kabir were made joint secretaries.
