ICBI BANK
Unaudited quarterly accounts for the third quarter to September 30, 2009 (January to September) show the bank has incurred a net loss of Tk (606.36) million with EPS of Tk (91.22) as against Tk (104.03) million and Tk (15.65) respectively for the same period of the previous year.
An accumulated loss of the bank was Tk (10,270.44) million as of September 30 this year. A specific provision for investment was Tk 600.30 million as of September 30, 2009 as against Tk 401.32 million as of September 30, 2008. The bank said a specific provision for non-performing investment increased due to allocation of provision in 2009 from January 2009 is incorporated as per 5 years business plan approved by Bangladesh Bank, which was not charged from January to May 2008.
AZADI PRINTERS
The board of directors has recommended 15 percent cash dividend for 2008-09. The AGM will be held on December 26, 2009 at 11:30am at Azadi Conference Hall, 9 CDA Commercial Area, Momin Road in Chittagong. The date of book closure is December 3-26. There will be no price limit on the trading of the shares of the company today following its corporate declaration.
POWERGRID
Trading of shares of the company will be allowed only on the spot market and block/odd lot transactions will also be settled as per spot settlement cycle from today to November 23. Trading will remain suspended on November 24, the record date.
SEC
The SEC has directed the Dhaka Stock Exchange to amend regulation 3 of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (Members' Margin) Regulations, 2000 in the following manner, namely:- “3. Free Limit- The free limit shall be taka five crore only in respect of the stock exchange members' margin deposit with the stock exchange on each trading day based on the total buy exposure, without linking to the capital requirements; Provided that there shall remain no unsettled sale exposure at the end of respective trading day (i.e., pay in will be done on T+0).”
APEX SPINNING
Trading of the company's shares will remain suspended from November 19 to 23 for finalisation of Demat process. Trading resumes in Demat on November 24.
