Bangladesh U-19 trail by 87 runs
Bangladesh Under-19 team was trailing by 87 runs against touring England Under-19 team on the 3rd day of the four-day Youth Test at the Divisional Stadium in Chittagong on Sunday.
Bangladesh youths restricted their English counterparts to 221 runs, taking last three wickets for 20 runs in 10.5 overs. Shaker Ahmed grabbed all the three wickets to finish with figures of 4 for 47.
However, Bangladesh Under-19 themselves were skittled for 172 runs in 74 overs to trail by 49 runs.
Wicket keeper Anamul Haque was the top scorer with 46 runs off 69 balls, which included four fours and a six, while Saikat Ali scored 45 off 167 balls.
Nathan Buck and Danny Briggs claimed three wickets each for the English side.
Taking a 49-run first innings lead, touring English team scored 38 for 2 in 16 overs in their second attempt to take an overall lead of 87 runs at the end of day three. Bangladesh skipper Mahmudul Hasan captured both the wickets.
