Wild elephant found dead in Bandarban

A wild elephant was found dead in a rubber garden at Baishari forests under Naikkhyangchhari upazila of Bandarban on Thursday.
Being informed, police and forest officials visited the rubber garden at Alikhyong.
The elephant might have died due to malnutrition and lack of food, said an official of the Sangu Forest Range, Zahirul Haque, who prepared the inquest report.
Earlier, two more wild elephants died at Fashiakhali and Yancha under Lama upazila of Bandarban in September last year, said officials.
