Woman found dead in Sylhet hotel

A woman was killed allegedly by her husband at a hotel in the city's Jail Road on Saturday night.
The identity of the deceased, aged about 35, could not be known immediately. Her husband enlisted his name in the hotel registrar as Abdullah, 42, son of Safiullah, of Shantinagar village in Sarail upazila of Brahmanbaria district.
Police said the man and woman identifying them as husband and wife hired the room no 503 of Hotel Silver Shine Delux at about 7:00pm on Friday.
The hotel authorities informed the matter to police as the room remained closed for 24 hours. Later, police rushed in and found her body hanging from the ceiling. Her hands and legs were tied with rope.
