Lion service week kicks off on Oct 1

A weeklong service programme of Lion District 315-A2 will be kicked off on October 1 in the country as elsewhere in the world.
Adviser to the prime minister Dr Syed Modasser Ali is expected to inaugurate the rally in front of the National Museum in the city at 7:30am while PID Lion Sheikh Kabir Hossain will be the guest of honour, says a press release.
State Minister for Home Advocate Shamsul Haque Tuku will attend the concluding session of the service week as the chief guest.
The programme includes voluntary blood donation, rehabilitation, seminar, protection of environment, tree plantation, administering Vitamin-A capsule, eye-screening camp, healthcare services for children and other allied services.
