President returns home
President Mohammad Zillur Rahman returned home yesterday from Saudi Arabia after a six-day state visit there at the invitation of Saudi King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz.
On his arrival at the airport at 6.30pm on a board a Bangladesh Biman flight, the president was received by Finance Minister AMA Muhith, Agriculture Minister Matia Chowdhury, Adviser to prime minister HT Imam, Dean of the diplomatic corps, Saudi Ambassador to Bangladesh, Chiefs of three services, Inspector General of Police and concerned high civil and military officials.
Earlier at Jeddah International Airport yesterday, the Saudi Minister for Higher Education Dr Khaled Al-Anqari and Bangladesh Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Fazul Karim, among others, were present to see him off.
