140 policemen to join Congo peacekeeping mission
A 140-member contingent of Bangladesh police left for Congo on Friday night to join the United Nations peacekeeping mission.
The team, led by Police Superintendent Sheikh Mizanur Rahman, left Zia International Airport by a UN-chartered flight.
The contingent will join the newly formed BANFPU-3 unit in Congo.
Deputy Inspector General of Police (Training) Abdus Salam and other senior officials were present at the airport to see them off.
