3 godowns gutted in Barguna

Three fertiliser and insecticide godowns were gutted in a fire in the district town early yesterday.
Fire Brigade sources said the fire originated from an electric short circuit in the godown of Aziz Majhi at Nazrul Islam road at about 6:30am and soon engulfed the adjoining godowns of Pijush Saha and Aziz Khan.
On information, fire fighters rushed in and extinguished the flame with the help of local people after three hours of hectic efforts.
Seven people were also injured while extinguishing fire.
