Iraq policeman, soldier killed
An Iraqi policeman and a soldier were killed on Wednesday in attacks that left three other security force members wounded in and around the main northern city of Mosul, a police official said.
A homemade bomb in Yarmuk district, in west Mosul, killed a policeman and wounded one of his colleagues, the official said.
A similar improvised explosive device in Tal al-Zalat, 40 kilometres (25 miles) west of the city killed an Iraqi soldier and wounded two other troops, the official added.
