5 extortionists held in Pabna

Police arrested five alleged extortionists from remote villages under Faridpur upazila in Pabna on Thursday night.
The arrestees are identified as Shakhwat, Uzzal, Rokon of Par Faridpur village and Mansur and Latif of Gopalnagar village.
Police said that the alleged criminals demanded Tk 50,000 toll form Abul Kalam, a businessman of Rautnagar village in Faridpur upazila. When the criminals went to take the money, police arrested them. They were sent to jail, police said.
