14th Asian Art Biennale to be held next year
The 14th edition of Asian Art Biennale, a grand art exhibition and competition for noted and emerging artists of the Asia-Pacific region, will be held in October-November next year, according to a press release.
The decision was made at the first official meeting of the festival organising committee. The meeting was held at the Seminar Room, Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy on September 16. Information Minister Abul Kalam Azad chaired the meeting.
At the meeting, the committee decided to invite over 50 countries from the Asia-Pacific region at the upcoming exhibition. The exhibition will be held for one month. To arrange the grand event successfully, several committees and sub-committees will be formed as well.
Among others, State Minister for Cultural Affairs Promod Mankin; Md. Sharful Alam, secretary, Ministry of Cultural Affairs and renowned artist Rafiqun Nabi were present at the meeting.
