Molester of baby girl goes into hiding
A teenage boy who molested a three-year-old girl at Savar on Tuesday went into hiding along with his family members on the same night to evade the police.
The boy, Shahjahan, molested the girl in his house at Natunpara in Hemayetpur in the morning. The victim was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) the same day.
Doctors of 'One-Stop Crisis Centre (OCC) at DMCH yesterday said they had found evidence of proving the allegations of molestation by the 16-year-old boy.
The victim's family said the culprit and his family left their home along with their valuables.
Her taxicab driver father suspected that Shahjahan's family fled their house with the help of the local influentials.
After the molestation, garment employee Shahjahan was caught red-handed and beaten up by the local people and later admitted to DMCH. But his family members later took him away to an unknown place from the hospital.
OCC Consultant Dr Bilkis Begum told The Daily Star that in the preliminary findings, they found the symptoms of molesting the girl.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) AKM Nasirullah of Savar Police Station said they could not take any step as the victim's family was yet to lodge any complaint in this connection.
Asked, the OC said they would arrest the culprits and bring them to trial.
