New cabinet to be clean: Quader

Communications Minster Obaidul Quader said today the new cabinet, being formed led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, is almost clean though it will have lots of challenges to face.

The minister came up with the remarks while talking to journalists before leaving his office at the Secretariat.

Quader however said the newly formed cabinet will face lots of challenges.

“We have to go through a tough time in future and establishing good governance will be our next focus,” he said.

Asked whether he will be continuing his current assignment, Quader said, “My personal wish is to continue with the ministry as I want to complete the unfinished works, but it all depends on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s decision.”

About Jatiya Party’s presence in both the government and the opposition, he said, “…it’s the prime minister’s decision to take them into the cabinet.”
