Mosharraf denied bail
A Dhaka court yesterday rejected bail of BNP leader Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain and ordered to send him to jail in a money-laundering case.
Metropolitan Magistrate Mostafa Shahriar Khan passed the order after Anti-Corruption Commission Deputy Director Syed Ahsan Ali had produced Mosharraf before the court on completion of his three-day remand.
The IO said the information gathered from the accused was being verified and he prayed for confining the accused in jail until the investigation concluded.
On Wednesday, law enforcers picked up Mosharraf from his Gulshan residence following the case filed on February 6, for laundering over Tk 9.53 crore to the United Kingdom.
