To free Gopalganj from enemy occupation, freedom fighters take positions with 150 soldiers led by Captain Jalal to the west of the town in Ghorechor village, Commander Omar leading a team to the east of the town in Bed village, and Nowsher Ali leading another team of 30 soldiers to the south of the town in Nabinbag.
Freedom fighters attack Pakistan army base at Shingerbeel area in Comilla. 6 Pakistan soldiers are killed in this operation.
