Man killed in Dhaka’s Badda area

Police recovered body of a man from Dhaka's Badda area this morning.

The deceased was identified -- through his fingerprint -- as Joynal Mia (40), hailing from Kishoreganj's Karimganj Upazila.

Sub-inspector Harun-or-Rashid of Badda Police Station said locals informed police that a body was lying in a pool of blood on a plot at Block-E of Aftabnagar area.

On information, police rushed there and saw his throat was slit and there were stab marks in the abdomen.

A crime scene unit of CID later collected his fingerprints and identified him.

Police later sent the body to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital for autopsy.

The SI said they contacted his wife who said Joynal was an auto-rickshaw driver and used to live in Rayerbazar area.
