Farjana Rahman Epshita: Empowering women through makeup artistry and education

Farjana Rahman Epshita, a name synonymous with expertise in makeup artistry, embarked on her journey after completing her Bachelors in International Business from IUB (Independent University of Bangladesh) in 2015. Following this, she ventured to the USA with the aspiration of pursuing a Masters in her field. However, due to the joyous arrival of her son in 2016, she decided to focus on enhancing the natural beauty of women.

Her commitment to the craft led her to Elizabeth Grady, Boston, where she undertook an intensive two-year Diploma Course in makeup artistry from 2017 to 2018. Building on this foundation, she pursued further studies in the field, culminating in the successful completion of the Masters Makeup Artistry course from QC Makeup Academy, Toronto, Canada, where she currently resides.

In 2018, Farjana extended her training in London, specializing in Asian Bridal Makeup at the prestigious LRA Academy. Her pursuit of excellence in makeup artistry led her to New York in 2019, where she completed the Master Class under the guidance of the renowned Celebrity Makeup Artist, Mario Dedivanovic.

Not limiting herself to physical classrooms, Farjana enriched her knowledge through a series of online courses. These included in-depth studies in Skin and Body care from Trendimi, as well as exclusive classes with prominent figures in the makeup industry such as P.louise UK, Denessa Myricks, Kristina Gasperas, Michelly Palma, and Cleria Liller.

Farjana's dedication and proficiency in the field have earned her several accolades, including the prestigious Best International makeup artist for Asian makeup from IBA 2019. She was also honoured as the Best makeup artist at the Television Reporter Unity Of Bangladesh 27th TV awards in 2021. Her contributions were further recognised when she served as a judge for the Face of Asia competition in the same year. Additionally, she was named the best makeup expert by Mirror magazine Bangladesh.

In the spirit of giving back, Farjana has trained BTV Makeup artists for reporters and television makeup in September 2021. She has also taken up the role of mentoring Wend Warrior's.

Embodying Mother Teresa's sentiment that "The greatest good is what we do for one another," Farjana Rahman Epshita is committed to supporting women entrepreneurs in need. Her focus extends beyond the realm of makeup artistry as she actively encourages and guides women across various sectors. Acting as a mentor, she invests in her most promising students, providing them with a solid platform in the competitive beauty industry. She believes in the importance of empowering women in their respective fields, ultimately striving for a more independent and self-assured community.

Looking ahead, Farjana envisions the establishment of a dedicated school that offers comprehensive training akin to international academies, ensuring that aspiring artists receive the best education and guidance to excel in their craft.
