Indisputably, the second wave of coronavirus and the week-long strict countrywide lockdown have driven people—day labourers, rickshaw-pullers, farmers and transport workers in particular—into a corner. Now, the government's decision to stand by these coronavirus-stricken people with a stimulus package is like rain in a terrible drought. However, since the overall success of this initiative entirely depends on the fair disbursement of funds, I urge the concerned authorities to take effective measures so that those who badly require this cash assistance aren't left out in any way.
