Regulate online activities of children

There has been an immense change in the way children spend their recreational time now. Conventional outdoor games have been replaced by smartphones causing them to drift further away from social realities and indulge more in the virtual world.

People have been termed as “addicts” due to their fixation on video games as well as social media. And like many other trends, it is catching up fast with the youth of our nation. Also, the easy availability of online adult content is a matter of concern.

Change is inevitable and progress is good. But at the same time, we must be aware of how children are spending their time online. Over-usage of electronics tends to affect the body and mind in dangerous ways. Thus, we must educate them about the harmful impacts of such practices, both in the short and long terms.
