Bangabandhu's fiery speech
“Ebarer sangram amader muktir sangram, ebarer sangram swadhinatar sangram” (This struggle is for emancipation, this struggle is for independence) – Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman
Bangabandhu's fiery speech on March 7 in 1971 is one of the most inspirational wartime speeches. Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, in his speech, called on the freedom-loving Bengalis to raise their voice against the Pakistan junta's injustices. His speech had set the tone for our liberation. His speech gave us strength and bound the whole nation into a united soul thirsting for liberty. He is gone but not forgotten. Both he and his speeches are alive in our hearts and will remain so for years. And it is one of our greatest achievements that Bangabandhu's historic March 7 speech has been recognised as a world documentary heritage by the Unesco.
