Falgun joy taken over by mosquitoes

The Daily Star's front page report “Mosquito rules” was very timely. I am visiting Bangladesh for a short period of time. I thought I would enjoy the beautiful Falgun during this time. The song that was ringing in my ears on my trip to Bangladesh from the US was “Ore Bhai Phagun Legeche Bone Bone!”

But when I landed in Dhaka, my Falgun joy was taken over by mosquito bites. I am totally exhausted with mosquito attacks. Mosquito repellents such as spray and coil are no longer effective.

I am not sure who to blame for this mosquito menace. Is it the negligence of the Dhaka City Corporations or the result of global warming? Some scientists observed that long-term climate change could make protecting humans from mosquitoes very difficult. This is indeed worrisome.
