Letter of thanks for expats in quarantine in Chattogram upazila

Local authorities of Hathazari upazila in Chattogram are sending appreciation letters to recently-returned expatriates in the area, who have completed their quarantine period as per government directives.

A total of 190 abroad-returnees of the upazila, who recently completed their 14-day quarantine period, are getting "thank you letters" at their doorsteps from the local administration, reports our correspondent, quoting Hathazari Upazila Nirbahi Officer Ruhul Amin.

The total number of recent abroad-returnees in the upazila is 476, the officer said, adding that they are sending the appreciation letters to those who have already completed their quarantine so that others feel encouraged to do so.

Ashraful Alam, a recipient of the letter, said this is a good initiative.

Such an initiative from the authorities will help break the negative attitude towards the expatriates during these times, he added.
