UAP holds its 6th Intra-Department Moot Court Competition
The Department of Law and Human Rights, University of Asia Pacific (UAP), organised the 6th Intra-Department Moot Court Competition on 13 and 14 October 2023. A total of eight teams from the department participated in the competition. Judges, lawyers, and former mooters from different universities currently serving as professionals were invited to adjudicate in the competition.
The adjudicators of the final round were Barrister Tapas Kanti Baul, Prosecutor, International Crimes Tribunals, Bangladesh; Md. Abdur Rahim, Assistant Professor, Department of Law and Human Rights, UAP; Md. Asaduzzaman, Associate Professor, Department of Law and Human Rights, UAP; and Md Lokman Hussain, Assistant Professor, Department of Law and Human Rights, UAP. The team comprising Narzis Tasnim Chowdhury Autree, SK Naznin Sultana, and Mohammed Itteshaf Naime Tarafdar emerged as the champion. On the other hand, the team consisting of Md. Mahfuzur Rahman, Afia Tasnim Amama, and Jeba Fariha Alvi became the runner-up in the competition. Narzis Tasnim Chowdhury Autree became the best mooter of the competition, while Mehrajun Sakin became the best-emerging mooter, and Md. Naeem was adjudged as the best researcher.
Ms. Farzana Akther, Mr. Forhad Hossian, and Mr. Khandakar Saad At Tanbir, Lecturers, Department of Law and Human Rights, UAP, coordinated the whole event.
