On 18 February 2017, an inauguration ceremony was held at National Mass Communication Institute. Certificate Courses was inaugurated by Dr. Mizanur Rahman, Professor of Law, University of Dhaka and Former Chairman, National Human Rights Commission. During his speech he said, “Our legal education system is very outdated, only based on theory but legal education is something practice oriented. Junior pupils often complained, their junior treat them like a court clerk, even senior does not pay him much. But I say why he/she will pay you? Are you able to draft a plaint or written statement or even submit a tax return? In this sense, this is an exclusive initiative for the law students, where students would able to learn practically. I congratulate participants and organiser and I believe this program will continue its journey”. He also urged to extend its activities beyond Dhaka. The Program was presided by Barrister Firoz Hasan. He said, legal profession becomes very competitive day-by-day. Additional certificates and in depth practical knowledge will help law graduates to build their career in the legal field. Advocate Asit Kumar Biswas on behalf of HTP foundation and Program Director Shat Shamim also gave their speeches.
