India beat Bangladesh
A half-century from captain Mithali Raj and 45 runs from Poonam Raut helped the Indian women's cricket team ease to a 16-run win over Bangladesh at the Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium in Cox's Bazar yesterday.
Batting first, India lost opener Latika Kumari for a duck, bowled by Jahanara Alam. But that was going to be the only wicket to fall for the visitors as they finished on 101 for 1.
In reply, the hosts were bundled out for 85. India's slow-left armer Sravanthi Naidu finished with figures of four for 9. The teams will play two more T20 games.
