2nd phase of mass inoculation begins in Rangpur

The second phase of mass inoculation began in the Rangpur district today with 40,000 doses of Sinopharm vaccines.

"Only those who have registered will be able to take the vaccine. In this case, even if SMS is not sent, one can visit the designated centre with the registration printout and get the vaccine," said Rangpur Civil Surgeon Dr Hiramba Kumar Roy today, reports our Dinajpur correspondent.

Meanwhile, Rangpur city corporation area will start mass inoculation from tomorrow, said the civil surgeon.

"Already 12,000 Moderna vaccine doses have reached the vaccine centres in city corporation area. These jabs will only be given to the residents of city corporation area in the coming 30 days. More doses will come in phases," the civil surgeon told The Daily Star.
