3 Covid-19 deaths, 385 new cases in 24 hours

Three people died from Covid-19 in 24 hours till 8am today, according to a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The total number of deaths has now reached 28,031 and the death rate stands at 1.77 percent.

At least 385 new infections were recorded in the meantime, taking the total number of people infected to 15,79,710, added the release.

The current positivity rate is 1.75 percent while the total positivity rate stands at 14.18 percent.

A total of 22,037 samples were tested across the country in 24 hours till 8am today.

At least 267 Covid-19 patients have recovered in this period. The total number of recoveries now stands at 15,44,417 and the recovery rate at 97.77 percent.

Of the three deceased, two were male and one was female.

Of them, one was between 61-70 years old and two were between 71-80 years old, added the release.
