Hasina's 68th birthday today

The 68th birthday of Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina will be celebrated today.

Hasina, the eldest of five children of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, was born on September 28, 1947 at Tungipara in Gopalganj.

On the occasion, AL Central Working Committee will greet Hasina, now in New York to attend the 69th session of the United Nations General Assembly.

Dhaka city AL will hold a doa mahfil and a discussion at 4:00pm at its office on Bangabandhu Avenue.

Special prayers and milad mahfils will be held at different mosques, including Baitul Mukarram National Mosque after Zohr prayers.

Prayers will also be offered at Dhakeshwari National Temple and other places of worship, including churches and pagodas, at 12:00 noon. The ruling party will distribute food among children at different orphanages.
