Hanging body of cop’s wife found

The wife of an assistant sub-inspector of Birampur Police Station in Dinajpur was found dead at their residence in Birampur upazila yesterday.

The deceased was Nayna Begum, 25, wife of Shahjahan Siraj.

Police said after breakfast with wife, Shahjahan went out of the house for work. Around noon, Nayna was found hanging from the ceiling of their room, said police.

Meanwhile, in Biral upazila, police recovered the body of Md Samu, 35, from Bhandara village yesterday.  

Police suspect he was stabbed to death. An autopsy will be conducted.

In Nawabganj upazila of Dinajpur, police recovered the body of Md Mobaraque Hossain, 40, on Thursday night. 

The body was found hanging from a tree branch at Chamunda village. Police said miscreants tortured him to death and then hung his body, which bore several bruises.
