Five killed in road crashes
Five people, including an expatriate in Hong Kong, were killed and 32 others were injured in road accidents in the country and in Hong Kong in the last two days.
Our Benapole correspondent reports, a Bangladeshi expatriate in Hong Kong was killed in a road crash on Eulong Highway in Sinagsu near Hong Kong on Thursday morning, family sources said.
The deceased was Abdul Latif, 38, son of late Habibur Rahman of Jessore.
His family is now waiting to get back the body.
Our Narayanganj correspondent reports, three unidentified people were killed and 20 others injured when a bus of Meghalaya Paribahan hit two human haulers on Dhaka-Sylhet highway in Purinda Bazar area at Araihazar upazila in Narayanganj yesterday.
The dead were in a human hauler. The injured were sent to different hospitals.
The bus also hit two rickshaws and three CNG-run auto-rickshaws injuring the 20.
Police seized the bus.
A Narail correspondent adds, a person was killed and 12 were injured when a bus of Bondhu Paribahan veered out of control as the driver was busy over the phone and fell into a roadside ditch at Bashvita on Narail-Jessore road.
The deceased was Shamser Mollah, 60, of Narail town. The injured were admitted to Narail Sadar Hospital.
