Ex-MP Fazlul Karim passes away

Former lawmaker Fazlul Karim, also a Language Movement veteran and an organiser of the Liberation War, died of old age complications at his residence in Thakurgaon town yesterday. He was 89.  
He was elected a member of East Pakistan National Assembly in 1970.
His first namaz-e-janaza will be held on Thakurgaon Government Boys' High School premises today at 11:00am. He will be buried at Thakurgaon old graveyard.
Politicians, among others, expressed deep shock at his death.
