Not just Poo, Geet, want people to talk about my other roles too: Kareena Kapoor
In a recent interview, Kareena Kapoor Khan has revealed that she does not want to only be pigeon-holed with characters like Poo and Geet, with the former having a resurgence in recent times.
The actress has reached a timeless phase of her career, where, despite her lack of dominance in the industry, her characters are still kept in the loop by youngsters who are getting around to watching films like "Jab We Met" or "Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham".
Speaking on the matter, she said, "Of course it (her other films) will always be compared to Poo and Geet, they are iconic I understand. Everybody is going to compare. But I feel like people should talk about Chameli, Omkara, Heroine, they are pretty underrated in terms of my performances, Yuva too".
"Why don't people talk about that?", she quipped."I understand in an actor's life people kind of pick the parts. I am also doing The Devotion of Suspect X, that's a very different kind of spectrum for me."
She also had some hilarious takes on why "Jab We Met" is still relevant, calling it "ghar ki khichdi" (comfortable), adding that the timelessness of the film is a rarity, which one can enjoy again and again, finding something new every time.
