Drug addict kills father

A man was killed by his drug addict son in Rajapur upazila early yesterday.
The deceased was identified as Seraj Uddin Howlader, 60, of Rola village in the upazila.
Police and family sources said Kamal, 26, hit his father Seraj with a heavy wood, leaving him critically injured as he refused to give him money for taking drugs.
He was rushed to the upazila health complex where on duty doctors declared him dead in the morning, said Md Abdul Barek, sub-inspector of Rajapur Police Station.
Police later arrested Kamal from one of his relative's house at Charakhali Bazar in this connection.
During primary interrogation, Kamal confessed to killing his father as he refused to pay him Tk 500 for buying drugs, said police.
