Savar double murder over ‘trifling issue’, victims’ cousin arrested: Police
The double murder of two SSC students -- maternal cousins -- in Savar happened over a "trifling matter", said Additional Superintendent of Police (Savar circle) Abdullahel Kafi at a press briefing today.
"We have arrested one Mozammel Hoque (20) yesterday, a cousin of both the victims, and he confessed to committing the crimes with another accused Rabiul," said the ASP at Savar Police Station today, reports our local correspondent.
Mozammel lived at victim Raihan's house and there he had some problems with his family members and over this, he along with Rabiul, killed the two, ASP Kafi added.
Police on Friday recovered the bodies of Nazmul (17) and Raihan (17) from a jute field at the Haruliar Chak area under Vakurta union of Savar. Both of them were candidates for the upcoming SSC exams.
The victims Nazmul and Raihan hailed from the Uttarpara area of Gournadi upazila of Barishal. Raihan lived at Jadur Char area of Hemayetpur in Savar with his family, said police.
