Cricketer Rubel walks out of jail

National team cricketer Rubel Hossain was freed from the Dhaka Central Jail this afternoon hours into securing bail in a rape case filed against him by film actress Naznin Akter Happy.
He walked out of the prison around 4:45pm, Farman Ali, senior jail super of the Dhaka jail, told The Daily Star Online.
Earlier in the day, Judge (in-charge) KM Imrul Kayes of the Metropolitan Sessions Judge's Court of Dhaka granted him bail after hearing his petition.
He was sent to jail on Thursday on his surrender before a court in connection with the bail.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Sunday announced a 15-member team including the 25-year-old bowler for the next ICC World Cup scheduled to begin in Australia and New Zealand from February 14.
